Early Childhood Intervention serves children birth to age 3 with developmental delays or medical conditions that put them at risk for delays, such as Down Syndrome or Cerebral Palsy.  Services are provided where the child typically lives and plays to include both the home or community settings. The family is served by a team of developmental specialists that have expertise in the areas of need that are identified by a comprehensive developmental evaluation and parent report.  The family is an important part of this team and is encouraged and supported as they learn to implement strategies during their daily routines that will promote their child’s development.

ECI is a state wide program under the division of Texas Health and Human Services.  The Childteam ECI program serves children who reside in Bell, Coryell, Hamilton, Lampasas and Milam counties.  Referrals are accepted by phone, email or through this website.  Anyone with a concern about a child’s development can make a referral for an evaluation simply by contacting the program in one of these three ways.
